A long-lasting service that transforms unmanageable, curly, wavy or frizzy hair into the most luxurious, smooth version of itself for up to 5 months
What Is a Keratin Treatment?
A keratin treatment is a process that smooths, straightens, and strengthens the hair by providing it with keratin—which is one of the main proteins that makes up hair. The keratin seeps down into hair's cuticles and is heat-sealed with a flat iron.
Who It's For
Keratin treatments really are for everybody—regardless of hair type and color treatments. Unlike Brazilian blowouts, keratin treatments offer a softer way of treating your hair. That said, since keratin treatments are meant to smooth out the hair, wavy and curly hair types may benefit from them the most.
Benefits of a Keratin Treatment
The process promises straight hair with minimal maintenance, but the benefits don't stop there:
Works on all hair types
Has restorative properties
Added texture and volume
Increased strength
Faster blow-dry, as water won't be holding on and you won't need to apply as much heat and tension to your hair to dry it off
Humidity resistance, as the keratin will actually reflect humidity away from the hair
The Keratin Treatment Process
It will take few hours but please keep in mind that this will vary depending on the hair type and density.
Here's a complete breakdown of the steps:
1. Shampoo: the process begins with a shampoo to strip away any dirt, oil, grime, and products.
2. Apply Treatment and Wait: once the hair is 80% dry, the stylist will begin applying the treatment itself. After painting the mixture onto the entire head, the solution will be left to sit for 15 minutes.
3. Blow-Dry: the stylist will blow-dry the hair while the solution is still in it.
4. Flat Iron: afterward, the stylist will use a flat iron to flatten the curls. This process—the aforementioned thermal activation process—is the most important part of the entire service.
5. Shampoo, Seal, and Blow-Dry: after the hair are dried and straightened, the stylist will do one more shampoo to wash out the solution. Finally, she'll follow up with a sealant and another blow-dry.
The Results
The results are outstanding, leaving the hair visibly smoother, shinier, and more manageable. Frizz is dramatically reduced, and the overall texture feels silky soft with a healthy, salon-finish look. It's a true transformation that restores strength and shine from root to tip.

Aftercare
The treatment lasts between three to five months. To help prolong the effects of the keratin treatment, it is recommended using Kerasilk smoothing shampoo and mask. These products will help maintain smoothness and keep the hair looking its best for longer.
